About the project
A theatrical production of the play by Esther Bol [Asia Voloshina]

The central inquiry of the play revolves around the possibility of retaining one's humanity in any circumstance. The text incorporates documentary elements, drawing from authentic accounts of the First World War soldiers as documented in Sofya Fedorchenko's book "People at War."

"In a real tragedy, it is not the hero who dies, the chorus dies. Everyone is dying." — this is a quote from Joseph Brodsky's Nobel lecture used in a play.

This show is a dynamic process that undergoes transformation each time it is played.

“The Chorus is Perishing” has been our first production in Israel.
