Our class

About the project

The show premiered in 2019 at the Educational theatre "On Mokhovaya" as the graduation project of the acting course under the guidance of V. M. Filshtinsky. In April 2020, it was relocated to the industrial space of the Stepan Razin factory. "Our Class" has been a definitive production for the Fulcro team.

The play "Our Class" by contemporary Polish playwright Tadeusz Slobodzianek narrates the tale of a Polish town where people once were happy, and then began to kill each other. The narrative follows ten young persons from the town. We first meet them in 1928 and follow their individual journeys from the first grade to their last day, through the Soviet and German occupation, anarchy, and emigration — encapsulating the traumas of 20th-century Europe.

"Our Class" has achieved significant acclaim, winning three times at the international festival of theatre schools ITSELF in Warsaw (October 2019). In the summer of 2020, it became the first student performance to receive the Highest theatre Award of St. Petersburg "Golden Soffit".

Moreover, the performance was set to be featured in the program of the International Festival of Student Performances "Your Chance 2020," but unfortunately, the festival was canceled due to the pandemic.
