“WHAT’S HAPPENING”
About the project
After February 24, 2022, the theatre chose not to stage performances anymore. While frequently supporting cultural initiatives, Fulcro team also desired to make a statement, leading to the creation of the performance "What's Happening."
The project's creators proposed that the key to understanding a person lies in the realm of deep culture, specifically ethnic and ritual songs that are present in virtually every culture. The action aimed to compare the rhythmic and musical structures of different nations, seeking to identify the internal kinship or divergence among people from various countries.
It was neither an ethnic study nor a folk concert. Instead, improvisation would emerge around the musical histories of different nations. Each performance also included a conversation and reflection led by art critic Elizaveta Zinovieva, serving as a mediator in this context.
